Assessment[edit]

I am assessing this article for WikiProject Schools following a request, and I am giving the article C / Low. While the school does have a good few alumni, and claims of national recognition, these do not seem strong enough at present to justify a higher rating. This article is long and is close to B-class, though further work is needed to make it more encyclopaedic. The pictures are good, though some copyright issues need to be resolved on some of them. The article as a whole comes off as rather promotional, and much of it needs to be toned down and summarised better, such as the 'Athletics, Co-Curricular Activities and Performing Arts' section, see WP:WPSCH/AG#WNTI. It may help if the article was more based on secondary sources (independent sources), and not primary sources (those from the school and others closely linked to it). There are also gaps in the references, with much content appearing not to have referencing at all, and reference template should be used if possible, see WP:CITET. Finally, there may still be room for further expansion in other areas, see WP:WPSCH/AG#S for a full list of possible school article sections. CT Cooper · talk 19:00, 3 September 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
